Design Panel

Choosing a Product
Select the product you want to use for your pattern by clicking or tapping the product logo at the top of the selector column. Changing categories will clear any existing patterns but will not clear your design history. You may return to a cleared design by clicking the Undo button.
Placing Tiles
Click or tap and hold, then drag tiles of your choice from the product area onto the design area to start creating your pattern. To place a rotated tile, double-click or double-tap and hold, then drag. Once at least one tile has been added to the design area, you may quickly duplicate the tile by holding down the Shift key and clicking on the tile (or by double-tapping rapidly on a touch device). The duplicated tile may be dragged and dropped into a new location.
Editing Tiles
Once tiles have been dropped in the patternmaking area, you may continue to edit them:
  • Click or tap and hold a tile until it lifts from the pattern, then drag it to a new location.
  • Right-click or double-tap to reveal a context menu with additional editing options.
  • Double-click (mouse only) to rotate the tile by 90 degrees.
Deleting Tiles
Delete a tile by using the context menu or by dragging it off the patternmaking area.
Moving the Pattern
To move the entire pattern at once, click or tap and hold in an empty part of the patternmaker area, then drag the whole pattern to a new position.
Zooming the Pattern
Use the Mouse-wheel or pinch gesture to zoom in or out on the patternmaking area.
Clearing the Pattern
Click or tap the Clear button to clear your design space. Clearing your design space does not delete your history, so you will be unable to undo your action if you accidentally clear a design you want to keep.
Extensible Design Area
Your pattern can extend beyond the edges of the design area. To extend your design area, click and drag in a non-tiled area to move the entire pattern up, down, left, or right. Parts of your pattern will become hidden beyond the border of the design area, but the pattern will remain intact. The arrow nearest the extended area will brighten and flash to remind you that part of your pattern is hidden. By using this feature and zooming your pattern, you will have available an area large enough to customize a single pattern for an entire room.
Resize Work Area
Depending on the size of your display, the design area and the viewing area may be placed side-by-side or stacked vertically. You may change the relative sizes of the area by clicking (or tapping) and dragging in the area between the two windows.
Important Info
IMPORTANT: Your finished pattern should be square or rectangular. You may place tiles over or under other tiles to complete a rectangular shape, and use the context menu to move tiles to the top or bottom of the stack. Irregular patterns will leave transparent holes when rendered.
